This was the best! Getting up early for the sunrise tour is 100% worth it. You get to see several caves and when you explore Benagil you almost have it to yourselves. The tour guides are engaging and make the time fun. One of our best experiences in the Algarve
The Best Way to See The Caves

I never thought dragging myself out of bed so early while jetlagged would be so rewarding. We selected the Sunrise tour (which was a beautiful sunrise to witness on Benagil beach.) This was such a fun experience. We were paired into double kayaks (another reason this is great for couples) and visited the Benagil Cave which was practically all to ourselves except for a few early morning swimmers and then we proceeded to work up an appetite kayaking along the coast exploring a few more of the other hidden caves .
Secret Algarve is based midway up the hill before you reach the huge free car park on the right.
They will look after your footwear while you're swimming and offer waterproof gear to help protect items you want to take into the cave. All the instructors/guides proves to be very down to earth and knowledgeable. They will do everything they can to ensure your safety at sea and bringing you back to shore.
Be prepared to get a little wet (duh we're kayaking) but you can wear what you want really. Bear in mind this can be a physically demanding activity, so if you have tough joints, old injuries or are less fit, it will be more challenging for you.

Wish to be the first to get into the Benagil cave, with an amazing sunrise ? Secret Algarve is simply the best tour you can have.
The team will welcome you with a great smile. On the beach, the guide makes you feel comfortable giving you tips to pilot the kayak, in a nice ambiance, with a good sense of humour overall

Awesome Sunset trip & Quiet Cave

Awesome afternoon, despite the rain, we had a great time kayaking at the Benagil caves. The sun eventually came back out and we are so glad we did the sunset tour, only our group was in the cave which was really nice so lots of photo opportunities. The lads that run the tour are good fun. My only criticism is that they smoke around the guests before the tour began.
Not what I expected

I only received instructions from Tripadvisor and they were lscking to be sure. Not clear at all. The address given is not the address of the parking lot we're supposed to park in. We made it to the beach and realized from everyone standing around with life jackets and oars that we needed to walk back up a hill to the Secret Algarve kayak store to sign waivers, put items in lockers, and get our stuff.
We headed back down the beach and the tour didn't get started until 7:30 (supposed to start at 7). The guide made what I thought was a joke about the other guides needing to have breakfast first but there was no attempt to start the tour until 7:28. The guide was swimming in the water and doing morning stretches while we waited. The group was also larger than I thought it would be and since people could swim to Benagil Cave, we were not the only ones there.
We were not allowed to go in a few of the caves because the tide was too high. I am not sure if that's because of the time of year or because we left later than expected. The Benagil Cave is very nice and I'm happy we saw it, but this tour was not what I expected at all.
