This was the best! Getting up early for the sunrise tour is 100% worth it. You get to see several caves and when you explore Benagil you almost have it to yourselves. The tour guides are engaging and make the time fun. One of our best experiences in the Algarve
I never thought dragging myself out of bed so early while jetlagged would be so rewarding. We selected the Sunrise tour (which was a beautiful sunrise to witness on Benagil beach.) This was such a fun experience. We were paired into double kayaks (another reason this is great for couples) and visited the Benagil Cave which was practically all to ourselves except for a few early morning swimmers and then we proceeded to work up an appetite kayaking along the coast exploring a few more of the other hidden caves . Secret Algarve is based midway up the hill before you reach the huge free car park on the right. They will look after your footwear while you're swimming and offer waterproof gear to help protect items you want to take into the cave. All the instructors/guides proves to be very down to earth and knowledgeable. They will do everything they can to ensure your safety at sea and bringing you back to shore. Be prepared to get a little wet (duh we're kayaking) but you can wear what you want really. Bear in mind this can be a physically demanding activity, so if you have tough joints, old injuries or are less fit, it will be more challenging for you.
This was awesome. At 4:30 it wasn’t crowded. A lot of fun and guides were awesome. Well organized. Had fun!
