Great guide, great caves, great fun!
Excellent tour of the Benagil caves and Algarve coast. Miguel was a great guide and gave us a memorable experience. The kayaks was very beginner-friendly which was just perfect for us. Definitly an activity we recommend doing while in Portimao.
Highly recommend!
Amazing time! An experience for the lifetime where you can feel the beauty of Algarve, and the power of the see. Great fun to be in a kayak and "discover" the caves on your own from different perspective. Much different that to admire it from the land.
Kayaking to Benagil caves
This was mine and my partners first kayaking and visiting Benagil caves and it definitely was one to remember. We set off on speed boat from Portimão and took a tour of caves along the way before we disembarked the boat to board our double kayak. At first this was hard to get use to having never kayak before (and the sea a bit choppy so research the weather before) but went through lots of caves before entering Benagil caves. The tour guides were great and the price was brilliant for a full 3 hours excursion!
Great experience
The beautiful area and paddling in and out of caves, stunning all together. Oct. is a great time to visit , not that busy . Saw dolphins play on our boat trip back to harbor. Nice and accommodating captain and guide. Would recommend for sure.
Scenery can't be beat
Bottom line for the money the caves and scenery can't be beat. The Captain of the "Adrenalina" was efficient and safe. It was essentially a taxi service with a scenic drive from Portimao to the caves with kayaks available on arrival. We did not have time to swim but may have if there were better cues from our guide. Our tour guide Eduardo was nothing to get excited about and appeared to be trying to survive the morning after a night out. He would announce the name of the cave/sight in English and then in Portuguese. His directions for safety were the bare minimum which isn't ideal as the Benagil caves are very busy with motorized boats and kayaks competing for the same space on entry/exit. On the way home it appeared he had given up and the Captain announced the sights. I would use Ocean4fun again with a different guide.
Marginal Kayaking Experience
Marginal experience. Guide rarely spoke only to tell us where to go. Kayaking was just 15 minutes. Bengali cave is packed with tourists
