Neptunos Surf school is a small group school with up to 8 people to offer the best quality and safety as well as a close relationship to help achieve good results.
The coach has 26 years of surfing experience and great local knowledge, as well as certified courses. The school is registered in tourism of Portugal as well as Portuguese Surf Federation and legalized in the Captaincy of the Port of Lagos

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Experience may be cancelled due to Insufficient travelers
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Duarte and his team are so thorough and patient. Really great on safety too. Great teachers, conscientious. We were also struck by the fact that he didn’t charge us when we got to the beach and the waves weren’t good so we drove back.

Duarte was so nice and chill. First he’s teaching some basic thing you need to know before going into the water, then you practice on the sand and when you get away with the standing up, You’ll go to the water. I was in a group of 3 people, so Duarte taught us individually some tips to keep getting beter. He kept us calm and motivated us when we went under water
Well structured and passionate teaching

I learned in the 3-4 hours lesson with Duarte more than in all 5 times surfing before (combined!) including two lessons.
I think it is because
a) the lesson was very well structured. We took it step by step, starting at the beach, then in the water Duarte pushed us into the waves.
b) Duarte keeps one engaged and motivated with his passionate and humourous way.

Learn to really surf!

Duarte is very passionate, and provides a personal approach for learning you to surf.
A big advantage of working in small groups is that he is able to focus on you individually, and correct you were needed.
My girlfriend and I wanted to try surfing on our holiday.
I had already "some experience" from a surf camp, while she had none.
I can honestly say I learned more in a day with Duarte then from a week on surf camp.
He had to correct my "technique", but at the end of the day I was able to make a lot of progress.
As for my girlfriend, she had her doubts in her capabilities but enjoyed it very much and was able to surf as well.
We only had 1 day of lessons, but we will definitely return!

We surfed three times with Duarte during our week stay in the west Algarve.
Absolutely loved it!
Duarte is a cool guy. So passionate about surfing and 100% committed to getting the best from his students. I felt I progressed so much in three lessons.
Perfect group size 3/4 persons. The beaches beautiful.
With Duarte's expertise and teaching you'll have the best chance of catching wave after wave after wave and developing a solid technique.
In summary... Totally hooked and can't wait to return! :D
